To China I Go!

"He's been matched!!  He's gonna be adopted!!"  This is the happy mantra I wanted to scream and shout when I got that email from my dear friends, the Heddens, announcing their letter of approval for Andrew.  The journey had been long and hard since he first came to their home in Kunming more than two years before.   You see, this amazing family of 8 moved from Minnesota to China in the summer of 2008 to spend time loving orphans in China.  And now, almost 3 years later, this adorable boy who was born with  Spinda Bifida would become theirs forever.   When I was living in China in 2009, I fell fast in love with this family who loves China and it's kids so much.  They inspire, challenge,  and encourage me in so many ways.  The sacrifices they make everyday to live in another country are amazing.

Baby Andrew & I
China, 2009

When I was living in China in 2009, I fell fast in love with this family who loves China and it's kids so much.  They inspire, challenge,  and encourage me in so many ways.  The sacrifices they make everyday to live in another country are amazing.

In a couple weeks, Tim and Amy {the awesome parents} will be traveling back to the states with Andrew to finalize the adoption.  Meanwhile, leaving their four other kids at home in China.  God has laid it on Adam's and my heart for me to travel over to China for about 10 days to spend time with the kids so they aren't alone that whole time.  I believe this trip will not only help out the Hedden's practically, but it will also show them that they have a family of believers who are standing behind them and their work in China.

Will you join me in encouraging them?!  Travel expenses for this sudden trip will total out to about $1500.  Adam and I are going on a leap of faith, because our bank accounts fall far below this amount.  We are looking for 15 people to sponsor my trip at $100 a piece.  {We'll also take gifts of greater or lesser amounts!}  All support will be tax deductible AND you will be supporting an effort to encourage one family who is living out James 1:27

If you can be one of 15 people to pledge $100 {or any amount} please email me immediately as I need to purchase a visa and ticket in the next two weeks.  {nicole.neesby@gmail.com}  I will email you the mailing info for receiving the tax deductions.  Please also pray for my trip AND for the Hedden family in this time of transition.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart.  Your support is a big blessing to me.
