YaY For Babies {and truffles!}

Sunday was some baby-lovin'-awesomeness.  I mean, seriously.  Do you know how fun baby girl stuff is?!  AND big girl stuff like chocolate chip cookie dough truffles?!  {IknowIknow, you guys are like, seriously woman.  Enough with the truffles, already.  OooK.  Done.}

Hubs and I strategically set our alarms late enough to sleep in, yet early enough to get the last minute preps done.  Do you see what a kitchen-ninja he is with those little fruit pizzas?!  He's just awesome like that.

And then over 25 awesome people showed up with pink and purple papered gifts in hand to welcome baby to the family.  The house was a bower of pink onesies and bibs and baby books {Yo, people.  Whoever first thought of replacing baby shower cards with a signed baby book was beyond genius.  Hey you over there at Hallmark, yeah I'm talking to you.  Take thaaaat, sucka's}

The rest of the long weekend was spent gloriously . . .

Long talks with SIL {sis-in-love} on Sunday night while the boys did boy things like video games - blegh.
Meeting an adorable girl at the shower who just so happens to read little bloggity blog here.  Wow.  Maybe, just maybe, I get to hang out with her this week.  Yheeess!
Seriously cuddle time with Hubs in honor of his hard labor on Labor Day.
A tad bit of depression that I wasn't here this weekend.
Authentic Chinese dinner with dear sweet friends from Hub's college group.  {Yay for chopsticks and ordering in chinese and for friends who are real.}
Finishing those last.few.truffles.  {Ha.  And you thought I wasn't going to mention them again.}

Tomorrow bro and sis leave on their big road-trip-move to Colorado.  We are really kinda sad.
