Crock Pot Apple Butter

Ohman ohboy ohboy.  I've seriously been so excited to share this recipe with you for like, Ee-Veer.
I mean.  How can you not completely adore the word crock-pot and the word apple-butter in the same sentence?!
It's like cinnamon-tasty-delight meets how-to-be-an-awesome-wife-with-zero-work in one magnificent, head-on collision.

Foh realz lovelies.  And here's how it's done.

Crock Pot Apple Butter
{check this awesome blog for the original recipe}

12 apples
3 cups apple juice (or cider if ya please)
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt

Peel, core and chop apples into crock pot.
Add juice, sugar and spices.
Cook on high until the apples begin to bubble.
Reduce heat to low and cook for 6-8 hours, stirring every hour.
This is the part where sit on your cute bum and read a book or eat bonbons or some other
housewifey dutywhile your house smells all goddess divine.
The apple butter is done when it becomes a deep brown color and is thickened.
You can break down the chucks for a smoother texture if ya like.
Yields around two quarts.
Store in fridge. . . if it lasts that long

No even lying girls.  I eat this stuff by.the.spoon.FUL.  Heated in a bowl.  Til the cinnamon yumminess straight up burns the back of my throught.  It's like I'm an addict or something.

Now srsly, lovelies.  Get your bums of your little chairs and get your crock pot to work for you.
I'm off to dish me-self up a bowl of it right now.

Bee-tea-double-U!  I was overwhelmed with your outpouring of kindness over my trip to China yesterday.  The funds were literally raised overnight for the rest of the ticket.
Thank you for being this dear little family in corners around the world.  It's like a tiny taste of heaven to come.
