. Dream . Encourage.
These are my words for 2012
I believe this year will be a season of watching God unfold the dreams He has placed on my heart.
A season of living as the person God has created me to be.
A season of dreams becoming a reality in our lives.
I also believe that God has been laying encouragement
on my heart.
He is asking me to become a bigger cheerleader
to Husband
to my family
to friends
to lovely blogger girlies like you
to strangers I meet on the streets
Through my words
emails
quality time
prayers
attitudes.
I can't wait to see what happens this year.
The people I meet.
The dreams that become reality.
The change that will happen in my heart
as I embrace the person God has created me to be.
What would be your word for the year?!
I'd love to hear it and be inspired.

Hubs and I are off to help a friend tear down a dilapidated barn
so she can use the boards in her super cool rustic Colorado house.
Wish us luck that no rusty nails find our shoes
and that the wind chills stay away from our fingers and toes.
Beautiful post.. Not sure about my words for 2011, but my words for 2012 will be: take a chance!

Have a fun day demolishing...I mean salvaging. Hope it's not too cold in that crazy wind! Guess what? The national summer reading theme this year (for kids) is "Dream Big!" (For teens it's "Own the Night;" for adults: "Between the Covers." Ahem.)
ReplyDeleteHaven't picked a word for the YEAR, but for the day it's or.gan.ize!!!
First of all, thanks for your comment! I appreciate it and I'm glad you took time to wander around my blog!
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice blog yourself--the pictures are really fun. I'd say my words are LEARN and SUPPORT...2011, although not always good, was a huge learning experience for me. You need the bad times, as well as the good, to grow as a person. I always try to remind myself of that! Encouraging/supporting others is a key thing for me, too. It's important to be there for friends, family, and even people you don't know that well.
I love your blog!

my word for the year... Trust. well, I suppose that sums up 2011. Is it bad that it is only in hindsight that I find my word? haha!
ReplyDeletelet go with GLOW. matthew 5:16... let Him shine through me!
Where are you from lady? I keep reading I Iowa references and bloggers are scarce out here! I live in Omaha.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the short and sweet resolution to be a more supportive person. Interesting how one quality we want to improve in our lives takes on so many applications.
Oh my goodness. I just clicked randomly onto your lovely little blog, and I am ALREADY loving it SO MUCH! What a beautiful outlook on life you have...you seem truly beautiful INSIDE & OUT! Can't wait to read more, and become a supportive bloggy friend to you! ;)

We are in the middle of a very drawn-out and frustrating international adoption process, so I think my word would be "trust". Trust that God is doing something even when it seems like he's doing nothing. Trust that he knows best for our little girl, and trust that He is working in us even when we are so frustrated we want to throw in the towel!!
ReplyDeleteLove how excited an positive you are about embracing the new year! It's truly inspirational, I hope 2012 has lots of wonderful things planned for you!

ReplyDeleteMy two words for this year are: dedication (to God, family and friends) and determination (to be the person I am supposed to be and to speak my dreams into existence).
