I am too quick to judge the value of life according to how many awesome things we do
how many trips we take
how many adventures we embark on
how many crazy stories we have to tell.
Today I'm focusing on the happy little bits that make life just perfect. . .

what little things are you celebrating today?!

Mmm..I love your posts. You write about so many of the things I think about. I have this issue with expectations, and how I think things should play out, and then I'm upset when they don't happen the way I think they should.
ReplyDeleteBut God is awesome and is teaching me how to rejoice in the little things, and trust Him for everything else. So maybe I went a bit off topic, but that's what it reminded me of :)
I've been celebrating a warm, strong cup of coffee before work each morning. The feel of my flannel sheets when I get in bed each night after a long day. The taste and satisfaction of a homecooked meal. The list goes on. I'm trying to find joy in small things :)
I'm celebrating bites of ice cream that I sneak from the freezer, a good book, and a certain fluffy dog. Also, I'm celebrating amazing posts like this :)

ReplyDeleteMy little boy's smile. New flowers on the dining table. The smell of morning coffee. Spring's colors. And many other beautiful things - this post, for example. :)
ReplyDeleteThat green cupcake looks amazing right now! Makes me want to head straight to the kitchen and start baking :)
ReplyDeleteLittle things making me happy include: my visa getting renewed (after 4 months of waiting), freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, getting excited for a weekend with friends, and getting to work from home today :)
