Do you ever have those days when you feel like your brain has gone to mush
and flat out refuses to come back to life?!
Hello, Today's Me.
This seems to be a common problem on my days off.
My mind has conjured up so many brilliant things to accomplish,
then I struggle to put them into action.
I have that whole bag of fabric from Mexico that I've been aching to create into
amazing, awe-inspiring things.
I have a plethora of delicious items on Pinterest for my Hips-At-Large-Initiative.
I have a living room full of laundry that probably should be done
. . . if we want clothes to wear the rest of this week.
I also should really answer the emails piling up in my inbox.
All while wearing my adorable stylish clothing choice
and actually taking time to comb my hair.
And ooo! Wouldn't it be nice to go on a walk, read a book, craft something inspiring
and then blog about my perfectly wonderful day?!
Instead. . .
you will find me today in a comfy black skirt with leggings and tee
wandering around the house trying to will myself to the washing machine with the 2ne of 5 loads
nibbling on pretzels because I'm lazy confused on which recipe deserves my attention first
cutting into that vintage spring fabric only to have inspiration-less scraps go limp in my hand
annnd I haven't even combed my hair yet.
But you know what!?
Sometimes it's ok to be zapped of inspiration. . .
low in the creative juices department.
It's just another part of real life.
And who knows, tomorrow I may just wake up and have my best idea yet.
{What are you favorite ways to bounce back from bleh days?!}
In other random happy news
my little herbs are finally starting to grow.
Makes me really kinda happy.
Now I'm off to eat another pretzel.
Happy Wednesday, lovelies!

Love the herbs! I have days like that as well - especially after especially busy weeks. Sometimes a relaxing do nothing day is all it takes to bounce back
ReplyDelete"Hips-At-Large-Initiative" -now now, that only happens when you get preggers! haha... the herbs look like some great inspiration! I typically have to crank up the worship like Chris Tomlin and then some Keith Urban... and that usually can help zap me out or a hillcountry drive windows down!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! The things I have to do!!
ReplyDeleteHow do I get past my bleh days? I do what I want, and usually wake up in a better mood. or sometimes Ican force myself to do something, and then I feel better right away usually! :) But that is hard to do! :)
Totally describes how I have been feeling lately. I hope we both get out of it soon!
ReplyDeleteI have these days all the time! It's called the curse of the eternal procrastinator and it pretty much defines my life, and it drives my bf crazy sometimes, ha!
ReplyDeleteLove the herb garden, those babies are growing like crazy :)

Oh, I have days like this...
ReplyDeleteWhat is my favorite way to bounce back from bleh days? Hmm... Is there a good way to do it? I don't know a good way to do it. Well, your way sounds ok. :) Those days just go by...and come again...and go by!!
p.s. - Happy for your herbs!! :)
I usually just throw a load of laundry in. I can manage that much. Then the pure fact that the clothes are being washed makes me feel slightly more productive. Almost enough to scrounge up a ham sandwich.
ReplyDeleteI had this kind of a day today do... only I was more lazy and made my husband throw the laundry in :) I love your herbs! I need to plant some!
ReplyDeleteif that isn't the cutest herb garden ever, i don't know what is! i understand the mushy mind thing. you are not alone. : )
ReplyDeleteYes, i think we all have those kinds of days sometimes. i hate them but that is life and it's ok! Sometimes we just need to veg haha
ReplyDeleteHoping tomorrow is better for you :)
xo, Lissie
oh dear...today was exactly one of those days for me. in response, my hands found their way to excessive amounts of chocolate. apparently that's how i found a way to cope. ha! more than anything, i just have to remind myself that it's okay to have days like this, and really, i may go so far as to say it's necessary? we can't conquer the world every day, can we? as long as i gave my son cuddles and kissed my husband, i'd call today a success.
ReplyDeletethanks so much for stopping by my blog and commenting! i'm glad it brought me here to yours. love it!
gosh, i have those days all the time! my "free time" is while my son naps but by the time i decide what it is i want to do & get then everything set up, he wakes up! :)
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog! i'm just loving yours!
oh, and you have the most beautiful hair!
my mind has been mush since i got pregnant with my first baby :) and it has not returned. now, if i ever have the time to do nothing, that is exactly what i do. or i cook something.
ReplyDeleteMost days I feel like my brain went to mush with Baby Numero Uno and has not returned since! Oh well!
ReplyDeleteI tend to bake too on my blah days. We make a big mess in the kitchen (so in a way, it's usually a bit of a backfire), but at least it is fun and my boys are happy.
Thanks for stopping by Let Why Lead, btw! Nice to "meet" you!
I think I've told you before but I just had to tell you again that I LOVE your hair
