Their stories are pretty awesome too. Like the project that tore up the floors of their gorgeous California home last week. And how just when they needed it, a friend offered to help with professional skills for no cost at all. Why?! Because 25 years ago, my father-in-law helped him in his time of need and now he was just returning the favor.
Kind of got me thinking. Who will be there to help me out in 25 years?! Am I paying it forward now? Reaching out and loving the people in my life today? Because when it comes down to it, relationships are really all that matter.

If you would like to check in with the daily happenings, watch my tweets here.
You might also watch for random smoke signals coming from this general area of the world. . .
as I may just have to resort to this newold way of communication.

Haha I hope you get your computer sorted soon...smoke signals can be a tricky business!
ReplyDeleteIt is sweet when folks jump in to help-something we should probably all do more of! -I actually saw a mans bike seat fall off today in the middle of the town, and some random chap stopped- put his shopping down and helped screw the seat back on!! It was good to see!!! :)
This is so nice to 'hear'.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think that people who, after all this time, haven't forgotten to return the favor, are such good people, too!
Such a wonderful reminder! =)
