Labor Day Weekend is one of my favorite weekends of the whole entire year.
It's favorite because it's our family's annual camping trip to the Midwest Old Thresher's Reunion where we dress up in our 1850's clothes and reenact life in that time.
We eat our dinners of food cooked on an open fire, under a canvas and stick tent on old white plates. I help teach in the one room school house and crochet baby blankets from soft brown yarn in my spare time. There is the famous Medicine Man show and the little baby goats in the barn. And you will definitely-probably-maybe find me stuffing my face with old fashion rock candy from the general store and brown bottles of Sarsaparilla.
If you live close by or are the adventuring type, please come meet me at the Reunion this weekend.
I will the slightly pregnant one in a faded blue dress with rock candy in my paws.
