Best Days

It's really easy for me to live in the future.

To live in a dream world of how our life will be just right when. . .

just right when the debt is paid off
just right when there's a little buffer in the saving's account
just right when all the ugly puke brown color walls in our house are repainted
just right when I don't have to get up at 5:00 in the morning and drive a cold, frosty bus
just right when my dreams of starting a business for the perfect crafting outlet are a reality
just right when my blog has that 'successful number of followers'
just right when we can buy a car that doesn't suck the very lifeblood out of us and send my nerves into overload

just right when. . .

Then it hit me
these are our best days.

The days when we stay up late on the weekend and make cinnamon rolls at 1:00 in the morning just because we can
The days when even the smallest project like a freshly painted room makes the whole world seem new and exciting
The days when it's just Husband and me laughing and dreaming of the future and catching up on our favorite shows
The days where we learn what it really means to trust God in every aspect of life
The days when a weekend means baking fall right into food we can eat
The days when Husband says date night is chic-flick night
The days where we get super excited because Baby is having his very own jumping party in my belly
. . .

I feel so incredibly blessed. . .

What are you celebrating about your best days today?!

Happy Monday, Lovelies

  1. Celebrating God working in mysterious ways to get my hubby a job.
Excitedly daydreaming about what I will be doing for work (when I get interviewed).
Planning all the fun things we will do with our new little apartment.
    Enjoying the sunshine every.single.day.
Reveling in the simple pleasure of a Starbucks latte.

This was a beautiful post and came right when I needed it. I may steal this idea and write it into a post of my own (linking here of coarse). Thanks for sharing!

  2. Celebrating our lazy Sunday. For the first time, the boyfriend didn't want to do anything (I think the breakfast on the couch has something to do with it) but watch TV and play with the game on his tablet. ;)

  3. Mmm... these best days. Days when hubs has a morning off and we get to sleep in and catch up and laugh and laugh. Days when the sun is setting and casting the most glorious strange glow in the back yard. Days when my house (with it's beige on beige accented with beige color scheme) is warm and cozy and smells of cider & pumpkin. Such glorious days indeed!

  5. This is exactly what blogging helps me do: live in the moment. I really think there are great things about every stage of our lives!

  6. Wow! I so needed this right now! I'm always looking to the future too and sometimes forget to live in the moment. Thanks for the reminder. :)

  7. So beautiful... what a great perspective! I'm reminded here to just live in the present, not in my dreams for the future where I think everything is going to be perfect. Because right now is just as great! Thanks for this :)

  8. Love it! Why wait for the 'best' days/things to come, instead find the best in the now. :)

I'm doing a giveaway on my blog for a cute little etsy shop that I bought my Matthew's pumpkin shirt from. All you have to do is leave a comment. It ends tomorrow. Wouldn't it be fun to win something for baby Neesby?!!

    Have a great weekend!

  10. This is absolutely one of the most important things to remember, and I definitely needed to read this. I am now applying the "Best Days" thinking to my own life. Thanks, Nicole. :)
