Brain Clutter

My mind is so full lately of things I want to write about.  I literally have an ongoing list in my new favorite Iphone app, Evernote, of everything on my heart to share.  Hashtageatingtheelephantonebiteatatime

First off.  My sister takes some mean family photos.  Do you remember my favorite balloon-inspired photoshoot from two years ago?  And our maternity pictures from earlier this year?  It pays to have talented family and a baby that hams it up for the camera!

Yesterday we went to this little forest area at our local state park and took our first real photoshoot as a family of three.  It was magical, I tell you.  Here's a little sneak peek.  I'll be back to share the rest later this week.
Last, but definitely not the least.
Hello Glorious Fall.

I can talk a good game when it comes to enjoy the last days of summer.  But lezzbehonest.  I will always be a fall child. . . is that what we call ourselves?!  I am seriously all about the pumpkins and spice candles and tall boots.  Sorry summer.  I love ya but I won't miss ya.  Ok maybe just a little.

Today I was inspired by the lovely Miss James over at Bleubird Vintage with a new twist to the classic fall bucket lists we are furiously scribbling down this week.  I loved it so much I decided to make my own
- - -

Eating // soups, s'mores, apple butter and candy corn

Adventuring //  to the pumpkin patch, apple orchard and corn maze

Learning // how to arm knit and how to utilize my time wisely each day

Playing // in the yard with Emmett more often and at the park

Finishing // the starter project for my new business venture and my stack of library books

Walking // on our nature trail with new friends and around our neighborhood in the evenings with Adam to talk and dream together

Planning // a chili party for friends, fall decorations for the house and a pumpkin decorating party for my little sister's cross country teammates.

Wearing // my favorite tall boots, scarves and my new cozy sweater.  Plus cardigans, beanies and mustard pants on Emmett

Baking // Pumpkin Pie Crumble Bars, Salted Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Flourless Pumpkin Bars and fall breads for our neighbors

Working // on my new business venture and a fall get-together for local mamas and their littles

Traveling // to Michigan for a dear friend's wedding.

Wanting // more of God's presence in my everyday, organization and time as a family.

  1. Love love fall. I hear you! Thanks for the idea of a fall bucket list - totally missed out on sooo many lovely fall things last year bc of having a newborn and an 18 month old - so I'm totally making a list and doing all those wonderful fall things this year.
And lastly I Love those photos in the woods - awesome!!
