I have one word for this weekend.
Isn't it amazing how some parts of life are incredibly amazing, yet harder than you ever thought possible?! That was our 2013 log village experience.
All I can say is that I am literally thankful we actually survived three days of 100+ degree weather, in our 1850's clothing no less. Emmett spent most of his days in his obviously-not-1850's-approved diaper and every four hours you could have found us running for the nearest air conditioned place to nurse and nap.
If you watched my Instagram over the weekend, you already know I had some major food crushing going on with all our meals that were cooked over the open fire. Emmett was also a major hit with all the girls and the guys if we're honest. It's the perfectly round face and blue eyes. . . irresistible if I do say so myself. And we were lucky enough to have Adam's brother and sister-in-law stop through on their way to their new home in North Carolina.
Happy Labor Day, friends!
