Baby and the Tub

There are so many little moments as a mama that I have imagined before they ever happened.

Imagined how it would feel when I scooped up my tiny baby for a faceful of kisses.
Imagined how it would feel when I walked through our home with a baby on my hip.
Imagined how it would feel when my baby was big enough to peek over the edge of our claw foot tub.
Imagine, imagine, imagine.
I love when these moments become real.   Like today.

Today our little buddy stood next to the bathtub.
Little baby back rolls.
Wobbly on his feet.
Excited to get in the water.
My heart about exploded from the cuteness.

Such a tiny milestone.  But just big enough to remind me that time stops for no one.  My job is to do my best at squeezing every bit of life out of these moments that I can.

Happy Thursday, friends.

  1. Oh, Nicole! This gives me hope that someday my little 'imaginings' will someday come true, too. <3 Was that what it was supposed to do?! ;) Truly, though, love. this. So much sweetness and such a real-life moment. So glad you were able to capture it forever! Tis the wonder of photography... *happy sigh*

  4. Jocelyn is now tall enough to reach the light switches. As in, just the past few days or so. It breaks my heart when I realize that, "Today she is able to do something that she wasn't able to yesterday." I know it should thrill me that she is growing and changing, but it's all just a little bit beautifully tragic, isn't it?
