Where You Are

Today was Orphan Sunday.

I cried as they rolled video with precious faces, with the needs right in my own community,
because nothing has ever shattered my heart more then these beautiful faces.  More than their stories.

Then we sang.  The words cut to my heart in a new way.

I called
You answered
You came to my rescue and
I want to be where you are.

If I claim to be a Jesus follower, do I value what He does?!
Redemption. Grace. The Gospel.
He rescued me.  May I live as a rescuer.
May our hearts remain broken by what breaks His.
May we never stop asking where we belong in His story.

Happy Monday, friends.

  1. Sometimes it's hard to get bogged down on days like yesterday feeling like "I should be doing more!" My hubs reminds me that Jesus does call us to love others, but we need to understand that sometimes (as new moms) that means loving really hard on those little people that are in our lives now, while praying for opportunities for loving others. I'm absolutely sure that you have loved countless other little people (and the grown ones too) and made them feel the power or Jesus through your hugs. Thank you for your heart for children who may not get that kind of love from a mama every day.

He's been working alot on us lately in this very thing - the needs right around us and what He's calling us to do.
