One reason I was so happy to have labor and delivery behind me before the start of the holidays was the fact that I would no longer be a weight-gain-freight-train over my favorite meals of the year!! Now I can enjoy my candied sweet potatoes and scotcheroos and pumpkin pie almost guilt-free -- especially considering the awesome calorie burning program I'm currently on.... aka breastfeeding.
Honestly though, here's the text conversation between my best friend and I last night:
"Okay, we need to do our no sugar thing Monday to Friday again...
and we can cheat on the weekend.
I need accountability."
"Yes!! Okay can we just start with one day tomorrow?! I feel like I ned to ease in slowly. haha.
This is going to be hard..."
So to help myself -- and maybe you too, if you like the sweets like me -- I curated a list of some simple clean eating recipes that I am going to try out these next few weeks. Best part is, almost every single one of them incorporates veggies and/or greens in some form. And Lord knows I need some good old kale to offset all those Dark Chocolate Salted Caramels I've eaten last week.
// Greek Chopped Salad
// Kale Chips
// Brussel Sprout, Kale & Bacon Salad
// Clean Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
// Asparagus, Spinach & Feta Cheese Frittata
// Crispy Baked Eggplant Fries
// Slow Cooker Chicken, Sweet Potato & Kale Soup
// Blueberry Kale Smoothie

How are you squeaking in the healthy stuff between the holiday treats this month?! I'd love to hear your tips!!
